GO FROM ZERO TO CFI IN AS LITTLE AS ONE YEAR
I’m a Certified Flight Instructor at Ascent Aviation Academy in Van Nuys (KVNY). I work with brand-new students, career-track pilots, and anyone who wants structured, FAA-compliant training inside an established Part 61 environment. This page is for my current and future students — so you can learn more about me, how to get on my schedule through Ascent, and access important resources.
About Me
Aviation has been a lifelong passion of mine. From an early age, I was fascinated by the freedom of human flight. I’m that guy who knows (almost) every model of airplane ever made. But my aviation journey only began after a friend gifted me my first discovery flight in a glider. I was instantly hooked and started my primary training here in California, also flying in France and Argentina. I earned my first certificate, Glider Private Pilot, 15 years ago.
In 2024, I decided to go after a career in aviation full-time and went to Ascent Aviation Academy to pursue my airplane ratings. I completed my Airplane Add On, Instrument, Commercial and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificates in under a year. This immersive experience deepened not only my technical proficiency but also my appreciation for the structured, safety-driven approach that Ascent embodies.
I bring a detail-oriented and procedural mindset to every flight. Whether it’s a preflight briefing or a complex cross-country lesson, I emphasize understanding why each step matters. My students learn to think like pilots early on — developing judgment, precision, and confidence in real-world flying.
Above all, my goal as an instructor is to help each student achieve their aviation dreams in the most efficient, effective, and enjoyable way possible. I believe that learning to fly should be as rewarding as it is challenging, and I strive to make every lesson a blend of professionalism, curiosity, and fun.
